Indian Point Energy Center Emergency Planning staff, working with each of the four Emergency Planning Zone counties has just completed the distribution of this year's emergency public information.
Every year, residents and businesses within 10 miles of the plant receive the booklet entitled "Indian Point Emergency Guide" in the mail. You may also access the booklet online by clicking here.
The booklet outlines the information residents will need in the unlikely event there is an emergency at the plants. Information on the emergency planning zone, protective actions for the general public, schools and people with special needs, Potassium Iodide (KI), evacuation supplies, and other resources for emergency information is provided in the booklet.
We encourage you to read through the booklet carefully and keep the booklet and map handy. There is also a personal emergency planning page which residents can use and fill out with their own information.
County specific booklets are available from the Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam County Emergency Management Offices.
