Entergy Awards $275,000 in Funds to Local Responders
Begins Accepting Applications for Additional Grant Awards

Buchanan, NY – Entergy today announced grant awards totaling $275,000 to 16 local organizations as part of the company’s Safety Responders Fund program. The grant program is designed to help fund training and equipment purchases for first responders in the vicinity of Indian Point Energy Center.
Applications for the next round of funding are now available at http://www.safesecurevital.com/community_planning/grants.html, and will be accepted until November 4.
“We are pleased to be able to help support some of our partners in the community with this funding,” said Joe Pollock, site vice president and Entergy’s top official at the Indian Point Energy Center. “This grant program is intended to support those who put their community above themselves, and we are proud to help those whose job it is to help others.”
Below are some organizations received funding in the latest round of awards. More than $825,000 has been awarded since the program was initiated in 2009.
